Position Overview
Westpointe Community Church is seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Pastor to join our ministry team. This individual will play an important role in leading and overseeing our youth ministries while actively participating in Sunday morning worship services.

Key Responsibilities
In Regards to Youth Ministries, the successful candidate will:
- Lead and oversee an existing youth ministry program which exists to engage, educate, and inspire young people to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Plan and coordinate weekly youth group gatherings including Bible Studies and Special Events.
- Create opportunities through mentorship and discipleship for youth to serve in the church and community, encouraging them to live out their faith in their daily lives.
- Be willing and able to teach/be involved in youth Sunday School on Sunday mornings.
- Collaborate with parents and families to support the spiritual development of youth within the church community.
- Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers who assist in youth ministry activities.
In regards to other duties, the successful candidate will:
- Actively participate in Sunday morning services. This could include preaching, teaching, or filling other roles as needed during worship.
- Assist in office administrative roles related to the youth ministry.
- Work with church leadership as needed to complete tasks listed above.

Expectations
The successful candidate will:
- Maintain a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer and Bible study.
- Exhibit moral character consistent with Biblical teachings both inside and outside of church settings.
- Respect confidentiality and trust placed by congregation members.
- Report regularly to the senior pastor or leadership team on ministry progress.
- Uphold the church’s statement of faith, mission, vision, and values in all activities.

Qualifications
- As mentioned above: A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- A commitment to Biblical teaching
- Previous experience in youth ministry or pastoral leadership is preferred
- A degree in theology, ministry, or related fields is highly desirable
- Willingness to strengthen, and continuously work on communication and organizational skills
- A passion for working with youth and fostering their spiritual development
- Ability to work collaboratively with church staff, volunteers, and members of the church.
