POSITION TYPE: Full Time (40 hours/week)
REPORTS TO: Executive Director & Program Director
IDEAL CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will succeed in YFC’s unique environment if they:

-Can lead others and also follow leadership.
-Are highly organized and can navigate through the chaotic well.
-Have a deeper understanding and care for young women.
-Have a strong Biblical understanding.
-Possess some media/ admin skills.
-Are teachable.

Primary Objective:
To engage and equip youth with opportunities to become lifelong followers of Jesus by running relevant programs and inviting others to partner together in this shared endeavour. Special focus working with our female clientele and leading our female volunteers.

Secondary Objective:
To update social media and other pertaining media to promote YFC Morris and keep our clients and partners updated of events and programs.

Responsibilities:
SPIRITUAL AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT (10%) (4hr)
1. Is a faithful and contributing member of a local church.
2. Pray for and with local staff and broader YFC Team.
3. Spend time in spiritual reflection and development, seeking the heart of God.
4. Spend regular time in the Word and in prayer
5. Participate in training and development courses, conferences and workshops as approved by supervisor
6. Pursue an active and continued growing relationship with family.
7. Completion of YFC Credentialing process within 2 years of start date.

DIRECT MINISTRY
1. Surveying the needs and challenges of youth and their families in the community and seeking ways to meet them with intentionality and practicality.
2. Particularly focusing on the unique needs of our female clientele, providing spiritual mentoring, teaching, and whole person care and development.
3. Plan, implement, participate and facilitate the ministries of YFC Morris, applying fair, consistent and authoritative direction for youth.
4. Work in partnership with area Youth Workers, Youth Ministries and other like-minded partners to reach our evangelism and outreach goals, including challenging and equipping Christian youth to reach out to their peers.
5. Be active and visible in the community by being involved in other church/organization events in the community focusing on partnerships and avoiding duplication.
6. Make contacts with principals, teachers and resource agencies in the area, striving to network with them whenever possible.
7. Be approachable and model relational evangelism/discipleship, investing in the health and resiliency of the faith journeys of the youth through the sharing and living out the gospel.

STAFF/VOLUNTEERS
1. Supervising, caring, and training for volunteers, cultivating team unity
2. Communicate weekly with supervisor.
3. Oversee scheduling of volunteers.
4. Emphasis on leading/caring/mentoring/supporting our female volunteers.
5. Ensure volunteers carry out effective ministry through their God given gifts.

ORGANIZATION /ADMINISTRATION
1. Keep records of Ministry activities and events, providing data to Executive/Program director.
2. Ensure the facilities are well maintained at all times.
3. Help raise the needed funds for the ministry with the staff and board and be accountable to staying within the budget and look for ways to help raise more funds.
4. Will enforce safety and respect to all at all times.
5. Help create and maintain social media & other media content.

PARTNER DEVELOPEMENT
1. Partnership development and maintenance – which includes securing and maintaining a sound base of financial partners to a level sufficient to fund the salary and immediate costs of this position. (regular contact/communication)
2. Develop and nurture broader community support
3. Build a base of prayer partners and keep them updated through regular communications.

The foregoing is meant to serve as an overview of the responsibilities of this position. This position will also be required to perform other duties deemed necessary and assigned to this position by the Executive Director.
