Service Learning involves a practical field experience, which supplements and applies regular classroom study. In order to gain one non-academic unit, a student must successfully complete the equivalent of ten Service Learning assignments (or 20 hours of ministry) per semester in a ministry mutually agreed upon by the student and their Faculty Advisor.

This course will present a historical and theological framework for urban mission, and then give an overview and analysis of key principles and practices for urban ministry. Learning excursions will be utilized to explore effective approaches to urban ministry.

Youth Alive

Youth Alive disciples students in dynamic leadership training. Students will take part in developing leadership skills, stage/performance presence, sketch/drama ministry, game leading, public speaking, group devotions, and personal testimonies. The Youth Alive team will consist of a community of 4-6 interviewed students dedicated to development in: presentation skills, leadership abilities, and Christian ministry. Classes will prepare students to go on deputation with college staff to lead dynamic youth events promoting both Christian principles as well as the Bible College.
